Senior Manager Internal Audit position at Etihad Town in Lahore:
Summary:
Etihad Town is seeking an experienced, driven CA Finalist to lead their internal audit department. This role involves developing audit strategy and plans, managing complex audit engagements (financial, operational, compliance, real estate development, fixed assets, etc.), ensuring strong internal controls and regulatory compliance. The Senior Manager will identify and evaluate risks, oversee audit reporting, lead a team, and collaborate with senior management to drive improvements and protect organizational assets, reputation, and processes.ย
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain internal audit strategy and annual audit plan, including risk assessment and control self-assessment processes.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate complex audit engagements (pre- and post-transaction, operational, process, construction activities, fixed assets, etc.).
- Oversee monthly/quarterly audits of receivables, purchases, payables, admin expenses, society maintenance, fixed assets verification, cash & bank, payroll, attendance, withholding taxes, sale deed/possession agreements, etc.
- Evaluate and improve internal control systems and risk management practices.
- Identify high-level risks, assess mitigating controls, and protect organizational assets, reputation, and business.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, ethics, and the organization’s code of conduct.
- Document financial reporting, audit findings, and prepare comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations.
- Present findings to senior management/audit committee, follow up on recommendations, and provide status updates.
- Conduct special investigations or audits as requested by top management.ย
Education & Experience:
- CA Finalist (or equivalent professional accounting qualification in progress).
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or other relevant certified qualification.
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive hands-on experience in audit, finance, or accounting functions.
- Exposure to pre- and post-audit, compliance audits, risk assessments, regulatory audits, fixed assets, taxation, contracts/legal/file transfer.
- Experience in real estate.ย
