Cubix, ;Financial Analyst (Commercial Finance)

🕧 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: 5pm – 2am (Mon to Fri)
At Cubix, we build software and also procure IT hardware for international clients. We need a sharp analyst who can look at a deal, decide whether it makes sense, and work with our teams to make it happen.
A question you’ll answer regularly:
“Should we buy 200 routers for $30,000, and will it be profitable?”
You don’t need to be a pure accountant for this. We want someone who thinks in numbers, makes clear recommendations and works well with other departments.
What you’ll do
▪️ Evaluate deals before we commit: landed cost, margins, pricing and risk
▪️ Recommend whether to buy, sell, negotiate or walk away, backed by numbers
▪️ Work closely with the sales and procurement teams to support their decisions
▪️ Build models, forecasts and budgets, and explain what changed and why
▪️ Track profitability by deal, client and product, and find ways to cut costs
▪️ Monitor cash flow, payment terms and the impact of currency movements
▪️ Prepare simple, clear reports and dashboards for management
What we’re looking for
▪️ 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, commercial finance, FP&A, business partnering or a similar analytical role
▪️ A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field
▪️ Strong Excel skills: advanced formulas, PivotTables and modeling
▪️ Proven experience making recommendations from data, and working with teams outside finance
▪️ Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to give a clear answer
▪️ Excellent communication: you can explain numbers to people who aren’t finance experts
▪️ Attention to detail
▪️ Experience in trading, distribution, supply chain, e-commerce or IT hardware is a bonus, not a requirement
