CHEF – FOOD SERVICE
LOCATION: DR. ZIAUDDIN HOSPITAL, HEAD OFFICE NORTH NAZIMABAD CAMPUS.
JOB SUMMARY:
To plan, prepare, and oversee the preparation of meals for patients, staff, and visitors while ensuring food safety, hygiene, nutritional value, and quality standards in line with hospital policies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and prepare daily meals according to hospital dietary guidelines and patients’ nutrition requirements.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations during food preparation and service.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety in compliance with hospital and health regulations.
  • Monitor food inventory, control wastage, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Assist in menu planning in collaboration with dietitians and the Food Services Manager.
  • Ensure timely delivery of meals to patients, staff cafeterias, and other service points.
  • Train and guide junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, hygiene, and presentation.
KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCES:
  • Strong cooking and menu-planning skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, or relevant).
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Academic Qualification: Diploma/Certification in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or Food Technology.
  • Work Experience: 4-6 years of experience in cost control, preferably in healthcare, hospital, or service industry.
