JW Jinpeng is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and manage production operations at its two-wheeler EV plant.
Job Purpose
The Production Manager will oversee production operations, ensuring efficient line setup, smooth manufacturing execution, compliance with quality standards, and achievement of production targets. The role will focus on operational excellence, resource optimization, and continuous improvement within the EV segment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities for two-wheeler EV operations.
Lead the setup and commissioning of new production lines and ensure readiness for mass production.
Develop station-wise sequence designs, line balancing, and manpower allocation.
Ensure compliance with First Unit Approval (FUA) requirements and production SOPs.
Monitor production KPIs including output, efficiency, quality, and downtime, and take corrective actions.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, SCM, and Maintenance teams to resolve operational issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, and process optimization.
Manage workforce planning, training, and performance monitoring of production staff.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and present production reports to senior management.
Requirements
Minimum 7 years of experience in automotive or a related industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
Strong knowledge of EV manufacturing processes, assembly line operations, and lean practices.
Proficiency in ERP systems, production planning tools, and MS Office.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
