Procurement position with Cavend Construction in Dubai.
Key Requirements & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and subcontractors
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules
- Manage purchase orders and procurement documentation
- Monitor vendor performance and contract compliance
- Ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services
- Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Manage inventory levels and material availability
- Coordinate with project, finance, and site teams
- Maintain procurement records and reports
- Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret contracts, specifications, and drawings
- Good understanding of construction materials and services
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- High school diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 3+ years of procurement experience in construction
- Familiarity with ERP and procurement software is an advantage
- Driver’s license is mandatory
