Asst. Manager Procurement

Location – AFI Plant Raiwind

Role Overview
The Assistant Manager-Technical Procurement is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of technical and production-related materials in the right quality, quantity, and cost, while maintaining strong coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Plan and execute procurement of technical and production materials to ensure timely
availability, optimal cost, and required quality, in coordination with Planning, Stores, and Quality departments.
Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders through SAP, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.
Manage vendor relationships, including sourcing, quotation evaluation, price negotiation, delivery scheduling, and performance follow-ups to ensure on-time deliveries.
Lead new material development with suppliers in line with technical specifications, quality standards, and operational requirements.
Handle import-related documentation, coordinate with banks, clearing agents, and transporters, and manage inbound logistics effectively.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best procurement practices, while supporting any additional tasks assigned by management.

What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
4-6 years of working experience at FMCG preferably in Confectionary and Bakery Manufacturing industry.
Strong Negotiation skills, Vendor Management and Project Management.
Hands-on experience with SAP (MM module preferred). Sound knowledge of imports, vendor development, and technical procurement.
